November 4, 2010 – Sur Flicka and The Seattle Nordic Heritage Museum invites you begin the holiday season at this year’s YULE FEST on Saturday and Sunday, November 20 and 21, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. This popular Nordic Christmas celebration offers hundreds of hand-crafted gifts, festive Scandinavian musical performances, and traditional Nordic cuisine that will inspire holiday cheer. Santa will also be visiting the Museum for YULE FEST, and the Tomten will be hanging out at the Sur Flicka booth.

If that’s what you’ve heard, you don’t know the real story behind the Little Mermaid. She might look sweet and innocent keeping watch over Copenhagen Harbor, but believe me, she’s been through a lot. July 11, 2010 – I know, I know. The whole horned helmet Viking thing isn’t historically accurate. Maybe it’s an unfair cultural caricature. It’s damn fun though, isn’t it? And I bet the Vikings were pretty cool to hang out with.

Say HELLO to sur flicka Launch = Success!
On Friday, June 4, 2010, we celebrated the official launch of sur flicka at the Seattle Swedish Cultural Center. The launch reception was a success with over 100 people from the Seattle community coming to celebrate the new sur flicka brand – in the crazy rain no less! DJ Russell Thomas helped set the mood by spinning modern Scandinavian music with hip hop beats. The favorite design of the night: Banan. The reception was a blast! A huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone who helped make it happen
